Australian Cruise Group

Australian Cruise Group is the largest cruise operation based at King Street Wharf. It began as a Sydney Harbour dining cruise operator and now runs three vessels of its own plus a charter agency, which is why several of the boats along this promenade turn out to be the same company.
The three vessels
- Sydney Showboats, a paddle wheeler running dinner with a live cabaret show, boarding at King Street Wharf 5.
- Clearview, a glass boat built for 360 degree views, running premium lunch and dinner cruises.
- Magistic Two, a catamaran running buffet dining and sightseeing cruises.
It also owns Flagship Cruises, the charter boat agency at 30 The Promenade, and markets its festival departures as Vivid Sydney Cruises.
What it runs
Across the fleet the group covers harbour sightseeing, lunch and dinner cruises, whale watching, sunset cruises, party cruises and celebration cruises, along with dated event cruises for the Christmas season, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, Australia Day and Vivid Sydney. Cruise combination packages and gift vouchers are sold as well, and all of it books through one reservations desk.
The group reports more than thirty years in the industry.
Which vessel suits which occasion
As a rough guide from the operator’s own descriptions: Showboats is the one with entertainment built in, Clearview is the one to choose for the view and a plated menu, and Magistic is the buffet and daytime sightseeing option. For a private boat rather than a ticketed seat, Flagship is the charter arm.

Getting here
King Street Wharf sits on the western edge of Sydney city centre, a short walk from Wynyard station. Our getting here guide covers the walking routes, and the parking page covers the nearby stations and car parks if you are driving. The wharves guide explains how the numbered berths are laid out, which is worth a look before you arrive, because the cruise operators along the promenade board from different wharves.
To see the group’s three vessels next to the other operators here, compare all the King Street Wharf cruises.
