Cargo Bar Sydney

Cargo Bar Sydney is a waterfront bar at 52-60 The Promenade on King Street Wharf. Friday and Saturday trading runs until 3am.

Cargo has been a fixture of the Darling Harbour night out for two decades, and the shape of the night there has not changed: drinks on the terrace while it is light, the room filling as the restaurants empty, and a dance floor that does the work after midnight. Daytime it is a straightforward waterfront bar with beer and cocktails; after dark it is the venue the rest of the wharf funnels into.

It suits groups, birthdays and anyone whose night is not done at 10pm. It also holds one of the wharf’s function spaces upstairs, the Cargo Balcony, which books out separately for private events over the water.

Hours

Open daily from 11am. Sunday to Wednesday closes at 11pm, Thursday at midnight, and Friday and Saturday at 3am.

Address and parking

The address is 52-60 The Promenade, King Street Wharf, on the boardwalk itself. The closest parking is the King Street Wharf car park on Shelley Street, but note the car parks close earlier than Cargo does on a big night, so check the exit times on the parking page before you commit the car.
