Adina Apartment Hotel Sydney Darling Harbour

Apartment style Fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes In room laundry Private balconies in many rooms Heated semi outdoor pool Gym Shoreline Kitchen restaurant Four meeting rooms Undercover parking 24 hour reception

Adina Sydney Darling Harbour sits at 55 Shelley Street, on the King Street Wharf side of Darling Harbour, a few doors along from the ibis and a short walk from the wharf restaurants and the cruise berths.

It is the apartment style option of the two hotels on this side of the water. Adina describes spacious studio and apartment rooms, many with private balconies and sweeping Darling Harbour or city views, with fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes, in room laundry and separate living areas. Their own phrase for it is stay a night or stay a month, which is a fair description of who it suits: families, people here for a week rather than a night, and anyone who would rather cook breakfast than queue for it.

The hotel has been through a complete refurbishment. Adina calls the result newly reimagined and says the building has been reimagined from the ground up. Their own property page still carries a re-opening in August 2026 line while their offers page sells a live rate against the hotel, so confirm the date against your travel dates before you book.

Rooms

Studios through to apartments. Adina publishes fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes depending on the room, in room laundry, and separate living areas in the apartment layouts. Many rooms open onto a private balcony looking over Darling Harbour or the city. The gallery below is the refurbished product, not the old fit-out.

Shoreline Kitchen

Shoreline Kitchen is the hotel’s own restaurant, on site. Adina describes it as an easy, welcoming spot for modern Australian breakfast, lunch and dinner, with fresh local dishes in the morning and relaxed light dining with bar service in the evening. You can eat in the restaurant, by the pool, or in your room. It is worth knowing about if you are staying here and do not want to walk out for every meal, though the wharf restaurants are two minutes away if you do.

Pool, gym and practicalities

There is a heated semi outdoor pool, open daily from 6:00am to 10:00pm, and an on site gym. Check in is 3:00pm and check out is 11:00am, with 24 hour reception, complimentary Wi-Fi, luggage storage and easy access public areas. Undercover parking is on site, with a 2m height limit, which is the same limit as the public car park along the street.

Meetings and events

Adina publishes four meeting rooms and a maximum of 150 attendees across its conference and event spaces. If you are running something at ICC Sydney or in Barangaroo and want delegates within walking distance, that is the practical appeal alongside the apartment rooms.

Getting there

Two minutes from the Shelley Street and Sussex Street car parks, evening flat rate after 5pm, and about a ten minute walk from Wynyard. The wharf itself is at the end of the street: precinct map.
