Crouch Amirbeaggi was established over 12 years ago. Currently there are around a dozen staff members in our Sydney office.
We have worked on around 1,000 corporate and personal insolvencies worth in excess of $600 million in creditor claims.
We find turnaround work to be the most dynamic and rewarding. We are proud to have traded and sold nationwide businesses worth in excess of $100 million in assets and 3,000 creditors.
We recognise that our core expertise is small business. We are well established turnaround experts in the SME market.
We are pioneers in the use of pre-packs in Australia, which are the most cost-effective process for saving small businesses from insolvency. Our contribution to legislative reform via submissions and numerous personal attendances to the Senate Enquiry and Federal Government’s Options Paper into insolvency evidences our commitment to developing the best turnaround process in Australia. Our proposals and practice have been published in the Australian and the UK national insolvency journals and last year our partner Nicholas Crouch was one of the keynote speakers at the Insolvency Practitioners’ NSW and National Conferences.
Our Managing Partner, Ms Shabnam Amirbeaggi, is a former state finalist of the Telstra Business Women’s Awards and is the only woman in Australia who is both a Managing Partner of an insolvency practice and dual qualified official liquidator and trustee in bankruptcy. She was recently selected by the CPA as one of their 40 Young Business Leaders of 2013.
The partners of Crouch Amirbeaggi are official liquidators and trustees in bankruptcy. Currently we are appointed to hundreds of liquidations and bankrupt estates across the country, and are responsible for various liquidations worth in excess of half a billion dollars of claims by creditors in matters we control.
Matters we have administered which you may have read about include the following:
- Ansett Airlines. We directly advised the unions which led to the development of the Government Safety Net for employee entitlements which has been legislated into the Fair Entitlements Guarantee (FEG);
